Are you ready to get creepy? There are many mysteries remain undiscovered around the world . UFO, GHOST, ALIEN…….and how many of you actually believe in them?
There is a Chinese saying “Seeing is believing”,and on the 25th of this month. please feel free to join our English corner to discuss these scary mysteries. Let’s join the discussion of the western ghost festival—Halloween!
It will be very entertaining. We are Looking forward to seeing you all here.
THE AGENDA
Part 1-Self Introduction 19:30-19:50
Introduction: Everybody will have a chance to introduce themselves, please let us know more about you. Remember to control your time. Everyone will have up to 2 minutes.
Part 2-Holloween Introduction and discussion 19:50-20:30
We will invite the married couple Linda and Mark to tell us more about Halloween customs, the meaning of this special festival and the origin of this festival.
Also we will have a group discussion regarding the topic. Furthermore we would share some of your own experiences of encountering some mysterious events.
Part 3 Debate. 20:30-21:00
Should we stick with science? Should we go against all odd things? Or should we be aware what will happen in the dark?
About Halloween:
Halloween, or Hallowe’en, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses", carving Jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories and watching horror movies. Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is celebrated in several countries of the Western world, most commonly in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom and occasionally in parts of Australia. In Sweden the All Saints' official holiday takes place on the first Saturday of November.
