The Summary of the 62nd Xizi English Salon

I was very encouraged by the fact that there were 17 attendees at the 62nd Xizi English Salon on the 1st of November. Being the hostess for the first time was nerve racking but stimulating. Thank you all so much to my friends who supported me.
In total there were three parts to this English Corner . The first part was a sort of warmming-up exercises, including brief self-introduction and talking on a specific topic. The second part was to find out a murderer's identity in a fictional murder case. People got divided into four groups and discussed this together, then they shared their group's opinions. I liked this part, but it didn't go as smoothly as I expected because of the lack of details. The third part was a discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of globalisation. Globalisation is a pretty wide topic, which refers to economy, environment, culture, government policies, etc. I thought it would make a very interesting discussion, which was why I did it.
Finally, I'd like to say that it is not that easy to organize an English Corner, but I would appreciate your advice and suggestions regarding anything you felt went well or could have gone better. Cheers, guys!!!
